Pricing Notice & Update

To our valued customers,

The domestic steel market has seen 40-50% increases in steel prices over the past 60 days. Due to this significant increase, it is necessary that we must pass on some of these increased costs.

Due to rising raw material costs for steel and aluminum due to the Trump Tariffs and increases from paint manufacturers and coil coating services, DMI will be implementing a price adjustment.

Effective April 14, 2025, all order acknowledgments and quotes will reflect current market pricing, with increases of approximately:
• Steel flat sheets & coils ~ 8%
• Steel panels & fabricated components ~10%
• Aluminum flat sheets & coils ~ 10%
• Aluminum panels & fabricated components ~12%

All orders placed prior to April 14th must ship by April 30th, 2025, or they will be requoted with current market pricing at time of shipment. Quotes issued prior to April 14th will be honored until the expiration date listed on quote.

Within the last 30 days, DMI has incurred increases of 7-9% on paint and coil coating services as well as an increase of 20-25% on domestic steel & aluminum substrate costs. In the near term as the domestic market moves towards an equilibrium with import pricing, I would expect to see some continued upward pricing pressure.

Preliminary findings are expected on April 3, 2025, for the anti-dumping duty of galvanized and galvalume materials. This could also impact domestic steel pricing along with the current administration’s section 232 policies, which have tended to change on an almost daily basis. Due to the unpredictability of the Trump administration, the fluctuation in pricing is something that will need to be monitored monthly until a more stable baseline is reached.

We will continue to monitor the market and keep our valued customers up to date with what we are seeing. All of us at Dimensional Metals appreciate our loyal, long-term, repeat customers and we will continue to do what we can to ensure the success of your project. Click here for a pdf copy of this letter.
